Engine balancing is an integral part of any well-built engine, whether it’s for racing or road use. Basset Down Balancing, with over 50 years of combined experience to fall back on, is in the unique position to have balanced almost every type of engine.

Lightening & Knife Edging

Knife Edging a crankshaft will help with lightening the bottom end of any engine but, it will also improve the windage while running.
The crankshaft will be able to cut through the oil much smoother, thus improving overall power delivery from the engine.

Cylinder Boring & Honing

Cylinder Head Reconditing 

Including replacement valve guides, recut the valve seats, valve refacing, chemically cleaning and skimming.

E-rotors, Brake rotors, Fan blades, Machine components etc.

Vapour Blasting

Vapour blasting can remove paint, rust, dirt, corrosion and carbon. Blasting is used to prepare items ready for painting by evening the surface or for cleaning up the item to look as good as new.
